About this tool
What conversion does
Fonts are embedded and colours are given a defined profile, as PDF/A requires. The result is declared as the part you chose, and that declaration is checked before you download.
Validation
We check the result's structure and PDF/A declaration. For formal compliance, some recipients run their own validator such as veraPDF.

Which part should I choose?
PDF/A-2b suits most uses. Choose 1b only if the recipient requires it, and 3b if the file must carry attachments.
Will my file look different?
It should look the same. Transparency may be flattened for PDF/A-1b.
Do you keep my file?
No. It's deleted after you download it, and in any case within 60 minutes.
