About this tool
Three ways to split
Custom ranges create one file per range — ranges may overlap if you need the same page in two files. Every N pages cuts the document into parts of N pages (the last part may be shorter). Selected pages can go into one new file or one file per page.
Clear file names
Parts made from page ranges are named after their pages, such as report_pages_1-3.pdf; every-N parts are numbered, such as report_part_01.pdf.
Frequently asked questions
How do I write page ranges?
Use commas between ranges and a dash inside a range: 1-3, 5, 8-12. A range without an end, like 9-, runs to the last page.
Why did I get a ZIP file?
When a split creates more than one PDF, the files are packed into one ZIP so your browser downloads a single item. Single-file results download as a PDF.
Does splitting reduce quality?
No. Pages are copied without re-rendering or recompressing.
