About this tool
Restrictions are respected
If the file has editing restrictions, you need its owner password to remove them. A password that only opens the file won't strip restrictions set by its author.

Can you unlock a PDF if I lost the password?
No. We only remove passwords you provide, and we never attempt to crack them.
Why was my password rejected?
Check capitalisation and keyboard layout. If the file opens but can't be unlocked, enter the owner password.
Will digital signatures survive?
No. Changing the file invalidates digital signatures; you'll be warned.
