About this tool
What can be removed
Watermarks the file marks as watermarks: those added with Adobe Acrobat or LoverPDF's Watermark PDF, placed on a watermark layer, or added as a watermark annotation. Each is removed together with everything inside it.
What can't be removed
A watermark that is ordinary text, or part of a scanned image, looks like the rest of the page to software. We tell you when nothing removable was found instead of returning an unchanged file. To hide such a mark, cover it with a white box in Add Text to PDF, or use Redact PDF.
Only on documents you may edit
Use this on your own files or files you're allowed to modify. Removing a watermark from someone else's document may break its licence or copyright.

Is my file uploaded?
No. Watermark removal runs in your browser and your file never leaves your device.
Why does it say no watermark was found?
The watermark is probably plain text or part of an image, with nothing in the file marking it as a watermark. Cover it with a white box in Add Text to PDF, or use Redact PDF to remove it for good.
Will the rest of the page change?
No. Only the watermark is removed; the page's text, images and layout stay as they are.
Can I remove a watermark I added with LoverPDF?
Yes, if you added it on or after 1 November 2026. Since then, Watermark PDF marks what it adds as a watermark.
